What is in-home massage?
I travel to your location for the massage or waxing service.

Do I need to provide anything?
No, this is not necessary. I will have a massage table, sheets, oils, lotions, and music to use during the session. However, if you prefer I use your sheets or have a certain oil you would like me to use, I can do that. Also, you are welcome to play your own music if you wish.

What happens during a typical in-home massage?
I arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of your scheduled appointment to set up the massage table. We spend some time discussing your goals for the session and you will fill out a new client intake form if you have not already printed one out and completed it. I will step out to give you time to get on the table. Essentially, in-home massage works the same way as if you were going to a spa. The only difference is, I bring my table to you.

What should I wear?
The same thing you would typically wear to an appointment at a studio or spa. I will step out to allow time for you to disrobe to your level of comfort.

Will I be covered during the massage session?
Yes, you will always be underneath sheets and a blanket. Only the area I am working on at that time will be undraped.

What areas of my body will you be massaging?
This depends on what you would like to focus on. Some people choose to get a full body massage and others choose to focus on specific problem areas the whole time (just upper body, like the back and neck for example). A typical full body session involves massaging the back, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck, and shoulders. We can omit anything you are not comfortable with or focus more on areas you need extra work on (maybe you are really just not a feet person or maybe you work all day on your feet and could really use some extra reflexology!).

What areas do you travel to?
~ Anywhere on Vashon Island or West Seattle.
~ The greater Seattle area including the Eastside, typically within an hour's drive from West Seattle.
~ I also find it fun to travel, so feel free to contact me even if you are further out or if you have a friend interested in massage who may live further, feel free to refer them.

Do you go to hotels/inns/bed & breakfasts/air bnb’s?
Yes. My card can be found at a couple places on the island. If its not already there, double check with them to make sure it is ok to have a massage therapist come and set up.

How much space do you need?
No space requirements, as long as I can walk around the table, I can accommodate small spaces.

Is it ok if I have a pet?
Of course! I love animals and they are welcome to hang out with us while you get a massage.

How far in advance do I need to book?
Same day appointments are welcome, just give me a call or text 206-737-6179. Or book out in advance if you like or choose a re-occurring spot for yourself if you know you would like to continue treatment.

Can I book a couples massage or massages for more than one person?
Yes you can schedule two (or more) massages in a row for couples, mother/daughter, group of friends, etc. *Note* I am only one person so your massages would be done one after the other, not at the same time.

What type of massage should I ask for?
This depends on what goals you are looking to achieve. Swedish massage uses a gentler pressure and is great for relaxation and stress relief. It is great for the elderly or those new to massage. Deep Tissue uses a deeper pressure to get deeper into the muscle layers to work out specific areas of tension and release trigger points. I also can do a combination of modalities to tailor the massage to you. Your goals will be discussed during the intake.

Do you do Chair Massage?
Yes I am available to be booked for corporate events, your events or parties, fairs, etc.

What is the Aromatherapy Add on?
Aromatherapy can be added on to any massage. I use a special aromatherapy massage oil with the blend of your choice (stress relief, headache relief, muscle and joint, or relaxation). You are also able to breathe in the scent during the massage and will enjoy a soothing lavender eye pillow to help you relax.

What should I do after the massage?
Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. It is normal to feel a little sore after receiving deep tissue. Follow my instructions I give you on ice and or heat and stretching.

Is there anything special I need to know about Waxing?
~ You must spend $50 minimum for in-home. If you just want one area waxed, (lets say eyebrows for example), you can combine your waxing with a massage appointment to meet the $50 minimum. You can also just get waxing done as long as you reach the $50 minimum.
~ If you book just waxing services without a massage, it includes a complimentary 15 minute massage to allow time for the wax to heat up. Please be aware that it takes time for wax to melt and plan your time accordingly.
~ Room must have good lighting available

Do you accept insurance?
No, I am not set up to accept health insurance or bill auto insurance. I may consider this in the future.

How can I pay you?
Cash only at this time. I am looking into getting set up to take credit cards soon.
